Mining Licences

Scope assessment and administrative coordination for Indonesian mining licences under current mineral-and-coal, OSS, spatial, environmental, and technical requirements.

Start With the Commodity, Area, Stage, and Applicant

IUP, IUPK, IPR, SIPB, IUJP, transport-and-sales activities, and supporting approvals have different eligibility rules. A company cannot select a licence only from its name or preferred business model.

IUP and IUPK

Review of the commodity, WIUP or WIUPK position, exploration or production-operation stage, corporate eligibility, and the current central or regional process.

  • Applicant and ownership review
  • Area and stage mapping
  • Technical and environmental document list
  • Authority-dependent submission support

IPR and SIPB

Initial assessment of whether the proposed community-mining or rock-mining activity fits the statutory pathway, location, applicant, scale, and commodity requirements.

  • Eligibility screening
  • Location and commodity review
  • Supporting-document coordination
  • No assumption of automatic approval

IUJP and Ongoing Compliance

Coordination for eligible mining-service activities and related OSS records. Operational compliance, safety, technical personnel, RKAB, reporting, and other duties are assessed separately when applicable.

  • Activity and KBLI mapping
  • OSS and sector-document review
  • Reporting-scope coordination
  • Referral to competent technical professionals

Approval Depends on the Competent Authority

Indonesia’s mineral-and-coal framework was amended by Law No. 2 of 2025 and Government Regulation No. 39 of 2025. Requirements can also depend on current implementing rules and OSS configuration. Jakarta Legal ID provides administrative coordination and does not issue licences, allocate mining areas, approve RKAB, certify reserves, or guarantee an authority’s decision.
